English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D)

Keira High School has qualified EAL/D (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) specialist teachers who provide targeted support for students from diverse language backgrounds.

High Potential and Gifted Education

At Keira High School, we recognise and nurture these strengths from an early stage. Advanced learners are supported through engaging lessons and enrichment activities that challenge them, extend their abilities, and help them thrive.

Special Education

Our Special Education Unit is at the heart of our school, providing an inclusive and supportive environment for students with diverse needs. With dedicated classes for Mild and Moderate Intellectual Disability and Autism, we focus on student wellbeing and lifelong learning through a strengths-based approach. Strong partnerships with families and the community ensure personalised goals, meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom, and a collaborative learning journey for every student.

Wellbeing

At our school, supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social, and physical wellbeing is part of everyday life. We provide caring teachers, specialist staff, and a range of programs that build health, skills, and positive relationships. By working closely with families and offering personalised support, we create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where every student can thrive.
