Uniform

The tone and reputation of a school play an important role in shaping students’ future as they transition into the wider community. You can support both your child and the school by ensuring they wear the correct uniform and present themselves appropriately in line with school expectations. Wearing the uniform fosters a sense of belonging, helps students approach the school day with the right mindset, and reflects the values of Keira High School.

The correct school uniform is required for most school excursions. In some cases, casual clothing may be more suitable (for example, certain field trips). Where this is the case, teachers will inform students in advance.

Our school uniform is available at Lowes Wollongong, Crown Street Mall.

The school also maintains a stock of second-hand items. Families wishing to discuss uniform needs can contact their child’s Year Adviser or the relevant Deputy Principal.

Keira's school uniform

PLEASE NOTE: From 2025, Keira High School introduced a NEW junior blue polo that is available at Lowes. From 2025-2027 the older style of Junior blue collared shirts will still be considered part of the Keira uniform. However, Lowes will no longer be producing these shirts. From 2028 the NEW junior blue polo only will be part of the Junior uniform. If purchasing new Junior uniforms, please purchase the NEW junior blue polo only. The NEW junior blue polo can be worn on all school days and for Sport and PDHPE classes.

New uniform - Proposal & Implementation Plan

Our school will introduce a new uniform in 2027. Year 7 students in 2027 will be the first to wear it. In 2028, the uniform will be compulsory for Year 7 and Year 8 students. By 2029, all students will be required to wear it. On September 17 this year, we invited parents and carers to a focus group to discuss uniform options. We also held focus groups with students from all year levels. Using the feedback gathered, we chose the new uniform for Keira High.
